There is no questioning the talent of country singer Blake Shelton. From his long line of hits to the charismatic personality he displays on the hit show “The Voice,” he is a greatly accomplished singer and performer, no question. However, his most “honest” album release of his career, aptly entitled “If I’m Honest” deviated somewhat from his previous offerings and included hit titles like “Came Here to Forget,” “A Guy With a Girl,” “Go Ahead and Break My Heart,” and “Every Time I Hear That Song.” “If I’m Honest” also included on particularly meaningful song as well, a gospel song Blake entitled “Savior’s Shadow.”

What’s Different About “Savior’s Shadow”?

This song has been called a “huge creative departure” from Blake’s previous work. Blake himself believes the song was given to him in a dream. He wrote about the incident on April 8, 2016 via Twitter. He said, “I dreamed the song last summer. I woke up and wrote down everything I could remember.”

“Savior’s Shadow” Wowed Christian Audiences

The song took Christian Billboard’s by storm, as it deeply resonated with believers across the nation. It quickly shot up to the Top 5 rankings of hit songs. However, it also spoke personally to someone you might not expect, a young 4-year-old boy named Luandre. You see English isn’t little Luandre’s first language, but that doesn’t stop him from singing every lyric of this beautiful song perfectly. He also happens to be a pretty dedicated Blake Shelton fan and wanted to record a video of himself singing this unique song written by the artist he loves. Watch the video of him to see his impressive performance for yourself. Be prepared to be wowed!
